miTrip ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website mitrip.cc and the miTrip Android app (collectively, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

miTrip is designed to work without user accounts or personal registration. We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

• Usage data: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, timestamps). These are retained for up to 30 days for security and performance monitoring.
• Search queries: Departure airport, travel dates, and trip preferences you enter are sent to our server to generate trip suggestions. We do not link this to any personal identity.
• Local preferences: Language and currency preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage only — never sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate flight route information, destination suggestions, weather forecasts, and AI-powered itineraries.
• To maintain server security and diagnose technical issues.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

The Service interacts with the following third-party APIs. Please review their privacy policies:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — powers natural language route info and itinerary generation. Trip queries are sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Open-Meteo — provides weather forecasts. Only destination coordinates are sent. Open-Meteo Terms
• Frankfurter (ECB rates) — provides currency exchange rates. No personal data is sent.
• Google Analytics 4 — measures anonymous usage (page views, which destinations are opened, which features are used) so we know what to improve. 4. Cookies

miTrip uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. We use two kinds of browser storage:

• Strictly necessary (no consent needed) — localStorage holds your language, currency, theme, saved destinations and your cookie choice. It never leaves your device.
• Analytics (consent required) — Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*, up to 2 years) to tell repeat visits from new ones. These are set only if you press "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then Google Consent Mode keeps the tag cookieless, and pressing "Decline" keeps it that way.

You can change your mind at any time via the Cookies link in the site footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. AI-generated content (route info, itineraries) may be cached on our server for up to 30 days to reduce API costs; this cached content contains no personal identifiers.

7. Security

The Service is served exclusively over HTTPS. We apply industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information beyond standard server logs, there is typically nothing to access or delete. For any requests, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
